The thing that weighs the most in the universe is the bier of the son on the shoulder of the father. Elder Omprakash had three such burdens on his shoulders. But he raised it alone. On Tuesday evening, when he received the dead bodies of his son and two granddaughters from the post-mortem house, none of the people from the societies and organizations who claimed help were with him. Jeetendra, Manya and Manvi did not even get four shoulders before the funeral.
The Shahpur police station chief showed humanity and made the dead bodies reach Rajghat by arranging pick-up. On the other hand, Ghosipura’s councilor representative Manta Lal Yadav arranged for the funeral items. Elder Om Prakash Srivastava lit the fire to the son and both the granddaughters with trembling hands.
After receiving the news of the suicide of three members of a family, MP Ravi Kishan Shukla and Mayor Sitaram Jaiswal reached Ghosipurwa on Thursday and consoled Jeetendra’s elderly father Omprakash Srivastava. At the same time, Mayor Sitaram Jaiswal gave him financial assistance of five thousand rupees.
Expressing condolences on the incident, the MP said that it is a very painful incident. If the late Jeetendra had spoken in time, all possible help would have been given. The fees of both the girls would have been arranged. During this, Omprakash submitted a memorandum to Tehsildar Sadar Vikas Sinha for help from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
