Hockey World Cup, 2023 (FIH Hockey World Cup, 2/23) has started today from 13 January. The first match of this recent World Cup was Argentina vs South Africa, in which Argentina defeated South Africa 1-0. In the second match of the day, Australia defeated France 8–0. The third match will be between India and Spain at 7 pm. This tournament will run till 29 January. The final match will be played on 29 January. Teams from 16 countries of the world are participating in this World Cup, which are divided into 4 pools, ie groups.
Significantly, in this tournament, 4-4 teams divided into four pools will play each other once in the group stage. After that, the winning team of the group will directly qualify for the quarter-finals. Then, the second and third placed teams from each pool will play in a cross over. From there the rest of the teams will qualify for the quarterfinals.
