Mumbai: New Record by Transplanting 6 Organ Transplants (1 Heart and Double Lung Combined Transplant, 1 Double Lung, 2 Liver and 1 Kidney) in 24 hours at HN Reliance Foundation Hospital has been established. A total of 25 surgeons, 30 nurses, 15 support staff, 4 transplant coordinators were involved in the transplant with the support of various teams in the hospital.
The hospital administration said that we three organ donor families and five families donated these organs. The hospital administration expresses its gratitude to him.

Dr. Mohanka pioneered liver transplant
Two liver transplants were led by Dr. Ravi Mohanka (Director – Liver Transplant) and his team. The combined heart and lung transplant was led by Dr. Anvay Mulay (Director-Advanced Cardiac Surgery and Heart Transplant) and his team. Lung Transplant was led by Director Dr. Sandeep Atwar. Lung Transplant & Team and Kidney Transplant was led by Dr. Rishi Deshpande etc. Dr. Tarang Gyanchandani, Group CEO of the hospital said that we are very fortunate that we have such infrastructure under which we were able to manage all this within 24 hours. I am extremely grateful to the selfless donors and donor families.
