Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation increased the fare of roadways buses from 12 midnight on Monday. Now passengers will have to pay extra 25 paise per kilometer. Orders have been received in this regard. Now for Meerut to Lucknow, about 123 rupees, 22 for Delhi and 12 rupees for Ghaziabad will have to be paid extra.
During the meeting held at Lucknow Transport Headquarters a week ago, it was decided to increase the fare of roadways buses in the state. Now orders have been received in this regard in all the regions.
Orders have also been received in Meerut region, after which the fare has been increased for all the districts from 12 midnight on Monday. Earlier where roadways was charging Rs 1.05 per kilometer for ordinary bus service, now it will charge Rs 1.30. Similarly, Janrath, air-conditioned services have all been increased by 25 paise per km.
