New Delhi: Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Thursday that it is clear from the counting trends of the assembly elections that the Congress will form the government in Himachal Pradesh.
“As per the trends, we will form the government in Himachal Pradesh,” Hooda told PTI. He also said, “I am leaving for Shimla along with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Congress’ Himachal Pradesh in-charge Rajeev Shukla.”

The Congress has given the responsibility to Baghel, Hooda and Shukla to keep the MLAs together and hold talks on government formation. According to the data available on the Election Commission’s website at 1.30 pm, the Congress is ahead in 39 seats and the BJP in 26. Independent candidates are leading on three seats. (agency)
