The Supreme Court Collegium has sent a recommendation to the Central Government for the appointment of nine advocates as judges of the Allahabad High Court. These include Prashant Kumar, Syed Qamar Hasan Rizvi, Manish Kumar Nigam, Manjeev Shukla, Anish Kumar Gupta, Nand Prabha Shukla, Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal, Kshitij Shailendra and Vinod Diwakar.

If the central government gives its consent on the appointment of all these nine judges, then the number of judges of Allahabad High Court will be 105. However, even after this appointment, 55 posts of judges will remain vacant in the Allahabad High Court.
