The Allahabad High Court, while hearing the Ganga pollution case, has summoned the report of the compliance of the orders passed earlier from the UP government. The court said that whatever order it has given in the matter of pollution in Ganga. A detailed report should be filed regarding its compliance. Along with this, all necessary steps should be taken to make Ganga clean. A three-judge bench of Acting Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar, Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta and Justice Ajit Kumar was hearing the PIL.

Earlier, while hearing the petition, Advocate General Ajay Kumar Mishra raised the question of jurisdiction. Said that the National Green Authority is hearing in this matter. This entire matter should be sent there for further hearing. Petitioner advocate Vijay Chandra Srivastava objected to this. Said that there is no such order of the court in the past. The Court also asked the Advocate General whether any such order has already been passed on his behalf. If any such order has been passed earlier, it should be placed before the court.

After this the court will hear the matter. In the hearing, questions were raised regarding the construction within a radius of five hundred meters from the banks of the Ganga. The court said that no new order will be passed on this. The court ordered the compliance report of the earlier order passed in the matter to be submitted on affidavit. The court asked the government to take all necessary steps to keep the Ganga clean.
