The Allahabad High Court has directed the District Basic Education Officer, Azamgarh to consider the appointment as per the preference of the petitioners, resident of Azamgarh, appointed on the post of assistant teacher in Siddharthnagar. The court has given this order in order to comply with the order of posting in the district of preference within two months of the division bench. Justice Ashutosh Srivastava has given this order while disposing of the petition of Ghanshyam Yadav and two others.
It was said on behalf of the petitioner that in the 68,500 Assistant Recruitment 2018, the petitioners have been selected, who have been appointed by allotting Siddharth Nagar. While he had given preference to Azamgarh. In the case of Shikha Singh and 48 others, the High Court has ordered for posting on the basis of merit and preference. People below in merit from the petitioner have been given appointment in Azamgarh.
On the appeal of the government against the decision of the single bench, the division bench has directed the posting of the petitioners only according to the preference, without interfering in the matter of appointed teachers. The petitioners also have the right to get the benefit of this order, on which the court has directed to take a decision in the case of the petitioners under the decision of the High Court.
