The Allahabad High Court has taken a tough stand on the postponement of the hearing due to delay in the government files not reaching the court on time due to the lateness of the staff of the Office of the Chief Permanent Advocate, Prayagraj. The court has directed to implement the biometric system in two weeks while directing to ensure timely attendance of the employees. Principal Secretary Justice and Legal Counsel has been directed to appear on January 16 with the report of the steps taken.

The court has said that arrangements should be made to bring all the files to the court before the employees come to the office on time and start the judicial work of the court at ten o’clock. At the same time, the Advocate General has been asked to run the functioning of the Office of the Chief Permanent Advocate smoothly. Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal has given this order while hearing the petition of Narsingh and others.

During the hearing, the public prosecutor requested the court to adjourn the hearing. Said, the government file has not come in the court. The court said, just a short while ago, Chief Standing Counsel KR Singh had said that there is no need for biometric system, they are improving the system. The court said, it is 11.10 am, there is a government lawyer but the government files are not in the court.

It was told that this happened due to the delay of the employees coming to the office. The court said, it was seen that on many occasions the files came late in the court. As the files did not arrive on time, the court directed the Principal Secretary Justice to implement the biometric system in the office of the Chief Permanent Advocate in Prayagraj within two weeks. The court has ordered a copy of the order to be sent to the Principal Secretary Justice and the Advocate General.
