The Allahabad High Court has expressed its displeasure over the filing of affidavits full of contradictions and discrepancies by the Principal Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary of the State Secondary Education Department regarding filling the vacant posts of Assistant Teacher TGT. Said that before the court takes any action in the interest of justice, the government is being given a chance to remove the discrepancies. The court has directed the Chief Secretary of the state to file a suitable affidavit by December 16. Along with this, it is hoped that the Chief Secretary will file an affidavit as per the intention of the law.

The court said that the action of the officers is going to promote uncertainty. The Court remarked that ad hocism leads to corruption, which takes a toll on the quality of education. Something good should be done for the future of the society. The Court has ordered the Chief Secretary to frame the policy as per the decision of the Supreme Court in the Sanjay Singh case. The next hearing of the petition will be on December 16.

Justice Soumitra Dayal Singh has given this order on the petition of the Management Committee of Shri Gandhi Inter College, Gorakhpur. The court said that issued several orders. The affidavits of the top officers in compliance are contradictory and inconsistent. The court also expressed surprise at the disciplinary action taken against the District Inspector of Schools, Gorakhpur.

The Chief Standing Counsel filed an affidavit with the Principal Secretary Secondary Education with some clarifications. It is a matter of filling the vacant posts of TGT assistant teachers. Retired teachers have been informed about the policy of temporary appointment to the post of assistant lecturer and direct recruitment of assistant teachers has been left to the discretion of the commission. Baseless facts have been told in this regard.

The court said that on clearly asking the Additional Advocate General, he was also unable to tell any time limit for the recruitment of assistant teachers. The affidavits are full of inconsistencies and contradictory. The court noted that the affidavits filed by Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary Secondary Education and the then Additional Chief Secretary Aradhana Shukla, cast doubt on the filling of vacant posts.
