Sanju, former head of Hathras’s Nagla Imlia and history sheeter, was murdered due to old enmity. The main murderer Amit alias Ramu, who was caught in the encounter, told during interrogation that Sanju had killed his brother Neetu 10 years back. Since then he was burning in the fire of revenge. On January 31, Sanjeev Kumar alias Sanju, former head of Nagla Imlia and history sheeter, was killed by firing furiously.
SP Devesh Kumar Pandey said that looking at Sanju’s old criminal history, the police was assuming that Sanju was killed due to old enmity. Sanju himself was a history sheeter. He was a member of the infamous Rajesh Tonta gang. Along with Rajesh Tonta, he was involved in the gang war in Mathura jail in 2015. Sanju was also an accused in famous cases like the famous Brajesh Mavi murder case, Neetu murder case of Gangchauli head. Although he was silent for the last several years.
In May 2013, Bhanupratap Singh alias Neetu, the then Pradhan of Gangchauli village near Nagla Imlia, was gunned down at Gadarana in Aligarh. This massacre took place in the battle of supremacy. Apart from Sanju, Rajesh Tonta, Monu, Satyendra and Vishnu of Gadrana were named in this murder case. Neetu was also a history-sheeter and had 21 cases registered against him.
After the murder of Neetu, the whole area was divided into two parts and there was a lot of tension. After this, in front of the incidents of Rajesh Tonta gang, the opponents of this gang were lethargic. Rajesh Tonta was murdered in police custody in Mathura in the year 2015. Then the gang war had also become silent, but the fire of revenge in Neetu’s brother was still burning.
Gang war after revelations
Sanju’s murder has been disclosed by the police, but the gang war that took place in Hathras till the year 2015, there can be chances of its resumption after the disclosure of this murder case. It will be a big challenge for the police to stop this, because before the year 2015, many famous murders have happened in this area in the gang war of about two and a half decades.
