The bodies of the three MBBS students of the Government Medical College, which were washed away in the Ganga at Kachla Ghat, were retrieved at 1 pm on Sunday. The bodies of the three students were found trapped in the sand under the water about a quarter of a kilometer away from the spot. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) traced them with the help of local divers. The police have sent the bodies of all three for postmortem.

Five students of MBBS third year of Government Medical College were washed away while taking bath at Kachla Gangaghat on Saturday afternoon. Among them Pramod Yadav of Gorakhpur and Ankush living in Bharatpur of Rajasthan were immediately rescued by the divers but Pawan Yadav, Naveen Sengar and Jai Maurya were not traced.

On the information of the incident, DM Manoj Kumar and SSP Dr. OP Singh reached Kachla Ghat after about an hour and got local divers to search for them but these divers did not have enough resources. They were only looking for students by taking a dip in the Ganges. He had also tried to find them by putting hooks and nets. The SDRF team from Amroha reached the spot at around seven in the evening. Due to darkness, the team started the search operation with the help of generator but stopped due to excessive darkness.

On Sunday morning again SDRF launched an operation with the help of local divers and police. Jai Maurya’s dead body was found before around 12 noon. Jai was a resident of Parsani village under Sarai police station area of ​​Jaunpur. At 12:30, the dead body of Pawan Yadav’s son Jayprakash, a resident of Dograh village under Turban area of ​​Ballia, was found.

Half an hour later, the body of Naveen Sengar’s son Gandharv Singh, a resident of Teachers Colony of Hathras, was found. During this, the family members of the three students, ADM Administration Vijay Kumar Singh, SP City Amit Kishore Srivastava, Tehsildar Karanveer Singh and administrative officers of Government Medical College were present.

There was chaos as soon as Naveen’s dead body arrived

When Naveen Sengar’s dead body arrived in the town late on Sunday evening, there was chaos there. There was mourning in the whole town. The family members were in bad condition by crying and there was mourning in the town. It is noteworthy that 22-year-old Naveen Sengar’s son Govardhan Sengar, a resident of Teachers Colony of Hathras Junction town, was swept away while taking a bath in the Ganges with his friends.
