New Delhi. According to the big news of the afternoon, today Samajwadi Party MLA Azam Khan has been convicted in Rampur’s inflammatory speech case in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. Today the MP-MLA court of Rampur has given this decision. At the same time, according to the decision which came a while back, Azam Khan has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. Along with this, he has also been punished with a fine of 25 thousand. He lost his membership of the assembly. However, Azam Khan may get bail. In such a situation, the SP leader will have one month for bail.

Let us tell you that Azam Khan was accused of abusing PM Modi, CM Yogi and the then DM, for which prominent SP leaders have been found guilty. The matter of the said hate speech is related to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, Azam Khan allegedly made objectionable and inflammatory remarks in the midst of an election speech in the Milak assembly of Rampur. A complaint was lodged by BJP leader Akash Saxena in this regard.

It is worth noting that there were also speculations that the sections under which Azam Khan has been convicted, have a provision for a punishment of three years imprisonment. If the sentence in this case is more than two years, then Azam Khan’s legislature can be discharged. In fact, the court has convicted Azam Khan under sections 153-A, 505-A and 125 Representation of the People Act of the IPC. At the same time, on 20 May 2022, Azam Khan came out of jail on bail.

At the same time, in the event of the announcement of punishment today, a situation of crisis has arisen for the Samajwadi Party. Know that Azam Khan is one of the founders of the Samajwadi Party and is a big Muslim face for the party. At the same time, the announcement of punishment has sent a bad message to the public, which is undoubtedly considered fatal for the party.
