Mumbai : Today is the 41st birthday of Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur. He was born on March 13, 1982 in a Sikh family in Pilani city of Rajasthan. His father Major Bhupinder Singh was an Indian Army officer. The actress’s younger sister Rubina Kaur is a psychologist. In 1994, Nimrat Kaur’s father Bhupinder Singh was abducted and killed by Kashmiri terrorists. Nimrat Kaur went to Mumbai after completing her studies at Delhi University. She appears in Hindi films as well as on American television.

She started her career as a print model. After which she started her film career with a small role in an English film ‘One Night with the King’. Which was released in the year 2006. After this Nimrat Kaur appeared in the film ‘The Lunchbox’ released in the year 2013. Late actor Irrfan Khan appeared with him in this film. The film was screened at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

In 2015, Nimrat Kaur played the role of Inter-Services Intelligence agent Tasneem Qureshi in the fourth season of the American television series Homeland. After which she appeared in the war thriller ‘Airlift’ opposite Akshay Kumar. The actress was last seen in the film ‘Dasvi’.
