Mumbai: After the recently concluded Tata Marathon in Mumbai, now BMC is going to organize Half Marathon on 26 February. The promo run is being organized in 3 kms, 5 kms and 10 kms formats. According to BMC, the Fit India campaign was launched in 2019 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The campaign aims to create awareness about health, exercise and sports across the country. BMC is now going to organize half marathon to take forward the Fit India campaign.
Assistant Commissioner Vishwas Mote, Coordinator of Fit Mumbai BMC Half Marathon said that for the pre-preparation of the marathon a promo run is being organized which will be organized in three phases of 3, 5 and 10 km. 5 thousand citizens can apply in this. First comers will be given priority. A meeting was organized regarding the promo run in which Mumbai Police, Traffic Police, BMC officials participated.
Promo run will start from this place
The promo run will be started from the selfie gallery of the headquarters of the Municipal Corporation. 3 km promo run will start at 7 am, 3 km at 7.15 am and 10 km at 7.30 am. Participants have to be present at 5 am. The participants of the promo run will be provided with the equipment to be entered through the automatic computer system. This device will record the time of reaching the finishing line.
