A court hearing is to be held today on a case of Gyanvapi campus of Varanasi. In which, in the suit filed by Swami Avimukteshwaranand, permission has been sought to perform Ragabhog Aarti, worship of the figure of Shivling found in the Gyanvapi premises.
Let us tell you that the hearing of the suit filed on behalf of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Kumud Lata Tripathi was postponed on November 18 due to the presiding officer being on leave. On which the date of 24 November was given. Plaintiff’s advocate Ramesh Upadhyay said that the Supreme Court has given an order that all cases related to Gyanvapi should be heard in one court. In such a situation, a request would have been made for a simultaneous hearing by filing an application in the court of the District Judge.

Shankaracharya was a disciple of Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati and now after his death, Swami Avimukteshwaranand and Ramsjeevan, who is holding the post of Shankaracharya, have filed a case in the court through senior advocates Arun Kumar Tripathi, Ramesh Upadhyay Chandrashekhar Seth, in which civil judge in Shringar Gauri case ( Senior Division), the form of Shivling found in the proceedings of the court commission should have been duly performed by the district administration, but till now the administration has not done so. Nor appointed a person associated with any other Sanatani religion for this. He explained that the status of a deity in law is similar to that of a living child. To whom not giving food-water etc. is a violation of the fundamental right to personal liberty under Article-21 of the Constitution.
