In India fungal infection is always there; But its form and scope would have been unclear till now. Through recent practice, the data on the frequency of first phase or contact and different types of contact have come forward. The dissertation has been published in ‘Journal for Open Forum Infectious Diseases’ or science periodical.

– About 2.4 million fertile women have vaginal infection.

About 1 million people are blind due to fungal infection in the eyes.

The evidence of fungal diseases is huge but has been ignored till now. Three lakh people get tuberculosis every year in the country. However, the number of fungal diseases is many times more than that.
