There was an encounter between the Rajghat police of Gorakhpur and the miscreant on Saturday morning. Seeing himself surrounded, the miscreant opened fire on the police. In retaliatory action by the police, the criminal Raj Nishad was shot in the leg. He has been admitted to the hospital. Six cases have been registered against him including gang rape and murder. Police have recovered a pistol, a live cartridge and a hollow cartridge from him.
It is being told that Rajghat Inspector Rajendra Singh along with his companions was patrolling towards Amrutani Garden in the morning. Meanwhile, information was received from the informer that the miscreant who was absconding in the gang rape is on the run. The police immediately laid siege. Seeing himself surrounded, the miscreant Raj Nishad opened fire on the police.
The police also fired in retaliation, which hit him in the knee of his left leg and he fell down. The police immediately arrested him and admitted him to the hospital. On information, SP City Krishna Kumar Vishnoi also reached the hospital and took information.
Rajghat Inspector Rajendra Singh told that the injured scumbag is a resident of Rajghat Chakra Topper. Six cases including gang rape, Pasco, rape, murder are registered against him.
