Gorakhpur: Officers changed, files kept rotating, steps reached CM Yogi, still no justice

Officers changed, files kept rotating, steps reached the CM, still justice was not done. Be it the murder of a child in Bansgaon or the severed head of an innocent found in Sikriganj, all the cases are gathering dust in the police files. The police have proved to be lax in exposing these big incidents, till date they could not expose them.

This is the condition of the police when ADG, DIG and SSP level officers also review in the crime meeting. Even today, the plaintiffs (victims) of old incidents can be seen pleading with the officers by taking applications.

According to the information, the case of action in the house breaking murder in Cantt area is pending for three years. During this, many officers changed, with assurances the file kept roaming from here to there in the name of investigation, but justice has not been received till date.

Similarly, the murder of a child in Bansgaon area has also not been unearthed. The family members have even gone to the CM for their complaint. Till date, the victims could not know what was the reason for the untoward incident that happened to them and who carried out the incident. Even after 10 days, the police has not been able to uncover the recent incident of shooting a bullion trader in Gulriha area.

case one

On August 22, 2019, drug seller Ranjit Kumar, a resident of Bhairopur in Cantt area, was shot dead in his house. When the police closed the investigation, the file was opened again and the crime branch was handed over the responsibility, but even after this the murder case could not be disclosed.

give case

On June 29, 2022, a child’s severed head was found on the side of Budhanpar road in Sikriganj. It was clear that he had been murdered. Till date, the police have not been able to identify whose head it is. When the identification could not be done, then the matter of exposing the incident is far away.

case three

On April 6, 2022, a dead body of a child named Golu alias Lakshya was found in a bush in Bahorwa village of Bansgaon. The hands and feet were tied with cloth. After confirming the murder, the police registered a case. The family members have pleaded in the CM’s Janata Darbar, but could not be exposed.

Many incidents were exposed with great silence

Failed in exposing major incidents in Gorakhpur district, the police is patting itself on the back by rectifying the files with the new formula. Police has played this kind of game in not one, not two incidents. The blatant incidents were exposed very quietly in the files. According to information, be it the incident of creating sensation by shooting and killing a vegetable seller in Barhalganj or it could be the case of an old man missing from Kaudiram.

In incidents like the disclosure of the murder of a child in Bansgaon, the police has been seen as a complete failure. At first, the police claimed to detain some people and claim early exposure, but after some time passes, they get involved in covering up the matter. Whenever the officers lose their sight, the police corrects their records by exposing them silently.

DIG J Ravindra Gaur said that instructions have been issued regarding the exposure of old incidents. The incidents which have not been exposed or the reason has not been revealed, will be reviewed.
