In Barhalganj of Gorakhpur district, mason Girjesh alias Golu was murdered by his wife through her lover. The lover executed the whole incident along with his cousin and friend. On Wednesday, the police arrested the four accused including the wife and exposed the incident. Investigation revealed that the wife had a love affair with her younger sister’s brother-in-law and killed her to get him out of the way. After the murder, the accused took photographs with the dead body and knife and sent it to their friend as well.
The arrested accused have been identified as Amarjit, a resident of Donkhar in Bansgaon, Durgesh, a resident of Marwat in Barhalganj, Barhaj, Vishesh Patel alias Golu of Deoria and Anita, a resident of Baridiha. SP South Arun Kumar Singh told a press conference in the police lines that wife Anita had a love affair with her younger sister’s brother-in-law Amarjeet.
Both wanted to get married, because of this the mason wanted to remove Girjesh alias Golu from the way. At the behest of his wife, lover Amarjit, along with his cousin Vishesh Patel and friend Durgesh, first gave alcohol to mason Girjesh alias Golu on the night of February 3 and then killed him by slitting his throat with a knife.
