On Wednesday, the body of a young man stuffed in a gunny bag was found on the bank of Madar Chorma Nala Regulator in Sahajanwan area of Gorakhpur district. Blood was coming out of the young man’s nose and mouth. There were black spots in many places on the chest and back. It is feared that the dead body has been disposed of after killing. The dead body could not be identified.
The people who had gone to graze buffalo informed the police after seeing the dead body in a sack tied on the banks of the Rapti river. The police took out the dead body from the sack and investigated it. The age of the young man would be around 30 years. There was swelling in his private part. The police are suspecting that the dead body was thrown after killing late on Tuesday night.
The young man had white shirt, white bandi and blue jeans on his body. There was no slippers or shoes on the feet. Police has sent the body for postmortem to know the cause of death. On the other hand, SP North Manoj Awasthi had also reached the spot on the information of the incident.
SP North Manoj Awasthi said that the photo of the youth has been sent to the police of nearby districts for identification of the dead body. Prima facie, there is a possibility of murder by strangulation. The further situation will be clear only after the identification of the dead body.
Many times dead bodies have been found in Gorakhpur district, which were murdered and thrown. But due to non-identification, such cases could not be disclosed. Due to the non-disclosure of the incident, it has become easy for the criminals to commit the murder elsewhere and bring the dead body here and hide it.

February 8, 2022: The dead body of a girl wrapped in a sheet and stuffed in a sack was found near Bhagne Bandhe in Jhangha area. The girl was strangled to death. Haven’t been able to identify yet.
