A large section of the society is feeling insulted by some lines of Shri Ramcharit Manas written in ancient times. The government should remove these lines from this epic. Due to this, the feeling of humiliation in large sections will end.
These things were said by the National President of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) Chandrashekhar Azad. He was answering questions from journalists during a press conference held at Gorakhpur Journalist Press Club after reaching Gorakhpur on Monday. He said that the party is keeping some demands from the state government.
Caste-based census should be conducted. So that the benefit of reservation can be given on the basis of caste population. Reservation should be implemented in contracting. The lands given earlier to tribals and Dalits should not be taken back. An additional reservation of 15 percent should be given for the most backward castes.
If the central and state government will not listen to their demands, then Azad Samaj Party and Bhim Army will be forced to protest on the road at every district headquarters. Said that on coming 13th February, Azad Samaj Party will conduct agitation at every district headquarters. If the hearing does not happen for the next one month, then she will also gherao the assembly. This demand can connect the weaker sections with their progress.
