Along with dengue patients, the number of fever patients is also increasing continuously in Gorakhpur district. From District Hospital to BRD Medical College OPD, more than 800 patients of fever are getting daily. The situation is such that the Medicine Pediatric Wards of the Medical College and District Hospital are full. There is not a single bed vacant in the emergency ward of the Medicine Department of BRD Medical College. The same is the case with the emergency ward of the district hospital. Dengue wards are full here.

According to the information, the increasing number of dengue patients has broken the record of the last five years. So far 106 dengue patients have been found in 20 wards of the urban area. Apart from this, 63 patients have been found in rural areas. Viral fever has now weakened the health of the people among the increasing number of dengue patients.

Malaria patients are also being found this year. District Hospital Physician Dr. BK Suman told that the number of viral fever patients is increasing continuously among dengue. Every day more than 150 patients are coming to OPD for treatment.

OPD of five doctors is running in medicine. More than 100 patients are being seen daily in all OPDs. Whereas, three to four patients have to be admitted in every 10 coming to the emergency. This is the reason that 20 beds of emergency and 20 beds of dengue have been filled.

The number of patients suffering from fever is increasing continuously in BRD Medical College. Emergency Medicine has two wards, each of 54 beds each which is full. Talking about OPD, more than 300 patients are coming for treatment. Of these, 15 to 20 percent have to be recruited. At the same time, if we talk about emergency, 60 to 70 patients are coming here for treatment every day.

Children also suffer from viral fever, pediatric ward full in BRD
There is not a single bed vacant in the Department of Pediatrics in BRD Medical College. There are 440 beds here. Of these, 100 beds are for emergency. None of these beds are vacant. More than 300 patients are reaching the OPD of Pediatrics Department every day. Of these, 70 percent of the patients have a problem of viral fever. Pediatrician Dr Bhupendra Sharma said that most of the children are suffering from viral fever. Every day more than 50 children are coming for treatment in emergency. Of these, 95% of children need to be admitted. At the same time, about 300 children are coming to the OPD in the district hospital every day. Pediatrician Dr. Lal Babu Yadav told that even children are getting dengue-like symptoms.

CMO Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Dubey said that the number of viral patients with dengue has increased in Gorakhpur district. Due to the changing weather, the number of patients has increased rapidly. Health department teams have been deployed. Along with this, medicines have been made available at all CHCs and PHCs. The health department team is going to the homes of dengue patients. Those who came in contact with the patients are also being investigated.
