Mumbai: Indian spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has been awarded the ‘Gandhi Peace Pilgrimage’ Award in Atlanta for his tireless efforts in spreading the messages of peace and non-violence of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The award was presented to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar by the Gandhi Foundation of America in the presence of Isaac Farris, nephew of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Dr. Swati Kulkarni, Consul General of India in Atlanta. The citation said that this is to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of The Art of Living, for his wisdom, insight, and service to humanity inspired by Gandhi-King’s teachings of peace and non-violence, towards the change we want to see in the world.
