Two percent of the air passengers coming to India from abroad will be tested for Corona, the Union Health Ministry informed the Ministry of Civil Air Transport on Thursday. From 24th December there will be random tests. Passengers will be allowed to leave the airport after the tests, it has been clarified.

It is mandatory to carry the vaccination certificate on arrival in India. Also, entry will be restricted if there is no mask. Thermal screening of passengers will be done at each entry point and RT-PCR test will be done for passengers arriving at international airports.
