Krishna Tyagi (25), who went missing from Didauli village seven days ago in Muradnagar, Ghaziabad, was killed by three youths of the village namely Monu, Sumit alias Chhotu and Puneet alias Kalu by strangulation and by stabbing him on the neck. In the police interrogation, the accused Sumit told that three years back Krishna had beaten up his father Anil in a dispute. Since then he had a grudge against her. He killed him on the spot.
The police have arrested all the three accused. ACP Nimish Patil told that Krishna Tyagi had gone missing from Didoli village on the night of 22 January. On January 24, his relatives had registered his missing. On January 26, the relatives lodged a murder report against Monu and Sumit alias Chhotu of the village.
The police team was looking for the named accused. On information on Saturday, the police arrested Monu, Sumit alias Chhotu and Puneet alias Kalu near Ganganahar Saunda bridge, all three were trying to escape.
On his tip, the police recovered Krishna’s body from the canal near Saunda bridge with the help of PAC divers. After the murder, the accused tied the body in a plastic bag and threw it in the canal. The police have also recovered the bike and balcuti used in the incident from the possession of the accused.
