Lusail (Qatar): French President Emmanuel Macron was extremely disappointed with his country’s final loss but is proud of his players. He also congratulated Argentina and its fans for winning the World Cup.
“Of course we are very sad and very disappointed,” Macron, who specially arrived in Qatar to watch the final, told reporters. Macron met with the French players after the match and consoled Kylian Mbappe and his teammates.
