According to the incident, Pradeep Singh, a follower of Dera Sacha Sauda, was fired upon when he was going to his shop on Thursday morning. Here some unknown bike riders shot him. However, his security personnel also retaliated. But still the attackers escaped.

In May 2021, the Punjab Police arrested 6 Dera lovers named in the case of this sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib. Later, till February 2021, the CBI was also investigating the matter.
