Rs 45 crore Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Meerut is falling prey to negligence. On the complaint of Vigilant Society, 47 residences were inspected, in which negligence has been revealed. There has been a mess in the geo-tagging of the houses. Several buildings have been shown by photographing the same plot. The investigation report has been sent to the government through the District Magistrate.

Under PM Awas Yojana, poor people who have 30 square meters of land and do not have their own house, then such families get the benefit of PM Awas Yojana. Rs 2.50 lakh is given in three installments for building a house. Under this scheme, 20 thousand houses are to be built. Work is going on about three thousand houses.

Administration and Project Monitoring Consultancy is responsible for monitoring eligible families, from selection of land to building construction. Kuldeep Sharma, District President of Vigilant Social Organization, complained about this to Commissioner Selva Kumari J on 11 November 2022. On the instructions of the Commissioner, DM Deepak Meena handed over the investigation to City Magistrate Dr. Amresh Kumar and Assistant City Commissioner Indravijay.

Room made without pillar

Reshma wife Ashraf, a resident of Zakir Hussain Colony, has made a room without a pillar. The organization has done geo-tagging of Reshma and Mohammad Deen on the same plot. Reshma has given her house on rent. It appears that the residences of both the beneficiaries are at other places.

Ujjwal Garden Fatehullapur resident Iqbal’s son Shaukat Ali has installed substandard construction material in PM Awas Yojana. This house can collapse anytime. The investigation team has advised to drop the name of the beneficiary from the DPR.

Investigation of the residence of Nahid’s son Abdul Khalid, resident of Ujjwal Garden Fatehullapur, has revealed that the organization has done the Geo Tagging list of Nahid’s house on the land of Ziaulhaq and Shamshad in a fake manner.

Roof construction not up to standard

The roof of the house of Bhagwatpura resident Kamlesh was not found as per the standards. At the same time, the roof of the house of Rajrani, a resident of Ganeshpuri, is not as per the standards.

House not built, money sent to account
Suman, a resident of Kishanpura, lives in a rented house. He did not get the house constructed. Released two lakh rupees by geo-tagging his mother-in-law Rajbala’s house.
