Pimpri : The audit work of various departments is going on through the Audit Department of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. A large number of objections are pending in this audit. Due to the high number of objections pending in the audit, Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh has ordered a monthly review meeting at the Additional Commissioner level to settle the objections.
Property Tax Collection Department, Vastu Department, Construction Permit, Medical Department, Godown are important departments in Municipal Corporation. In the file of each department of the Municipal Corporation, the work of removing objections and removing errors is done through the audit department. According to this, the audit department of the Municipal Corporation is doing the work of removing the pending objections from the year 2005 to 2015 and removing the errors. Commissioner Shekhar Singh has set a target of March 2023 to remove the errors made in the files of all the departments during these 10 years. For this, Commissioner Singh recently held a review meeting with all the department heads of Municipal Corporation.

Commissioner Singh has instructed all the department heads to inform the audit department about the objections made during the period from 2005 to 2015. Since the number of audit objections pending during these ten years is very high, it needs to be followed up on regular basis. For this, the commissioner has fixed a procedure. Chief Auditor Pramod Bhosle has been entrusted with the responsibility of organizing and coordinating meetings for objections pending in audit, he has also been given the responsibility of presenting detailed information on objections. Along with this, a meeting should be organized every month at the level of Additional Commissioner to get the audit done as soon as possible. Commissioner Shekhar Singh in his order has given instructions to submit the quarterly audit report.
