In Dasipura village of Bharthana in Etawah district, a debt-ridden youth had a dispute with his wife on Saturday night. Things got so bad that the wife committed suicide by hanging herself. Seeing the wife’s body hanging on the noose, the husband also committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree some distance away from the house. On information about the incident in the morning, CO and Bharthana police reached the spot and investigated.
The forensic team has also collected evidence. Raju (39), a resident of Dasipura village, had about five bighas of land. He had taken a Kisan Credit Card from the Central Bank. He spent four lakh rupees with this card. Apart from this, he had also taken a loan of about three lakh rupees from relatives and friends. Due to not being able to repay the loan, the banks and other people were complaining every day. There used to be a dispute between husband and wife regarding this.
