Ambernath: 17 lakh 68 by the Dudhkar family, who assaulted the Electricity Theft Detection Team in Kakadwal Village, located in Ambernath Rural Halke and under the Kalyan East Mandal of Mahavitaran. The case of theft of electricity worth thousand 780 rupees has come to the fore after the investigation of the department.
On January 11, the Dudhkar family had thrashed ten employees, including the engineer, in a drive to detect power theft. A case has been registered against the three Dudhkar brothers under section 135 of the Electricity Act 2003 at Ambernath police station for stealing electricity. The names of the accused are Anant Dudhkar, Ashok Dudhkar and Prakash Dudhkar.

These three have stolen electricity by tapping the cable coming in the meter and saving it from the meter. Anant Dudhkar has stolen 28 thousand 252 units worth Rs 6 lakh 69 thousand 550, Prakash Dudhkar 30 thousand 869 units worth Rs 7 lakh 23 thousand 390 and Ashok Dudhkar has stolen 13 thousand 211 units worth Rs 3 lakh 57 thousand 840. Ambernath police have registered a case on the basis of a complaint by assistant engineer Ravindra Nahide and sub-inspector Shrirang Gosavi is probing the crime.
