According to the police officials, in 2022, there was no evidence of street violence, counterfeiting, internet shutdown or any such thing in Kashmir.

New terrorists eliminated

In 2022, 65 new terrorists came from various organisations. Out of them 89 percent means security forces were successful in eliminating 58 terrorists.

29 civilians died in the firing of terrorists. Among the dead, 21 were locals, out of which six were Hindus, three were Kashmiri Pandits and 15 were Muslims. Eight of the dead would have come to Kashmir from outside states.

26 incidents of law and order

According to the police, only 26 minor incidents of law and order have happened in the year 2022. In 2016 there were 2897 cases of law and order incidents and in 2022 the number has increased to 26.

Such action was taken

Anti-terrorist campaign was implemented on a large scale.

– In 2022, 946 cases were registered for causing hindrance to law and order.

– 1560 people involved in various actions were arrested.

– 132 anti-substance action has been taken.

Raid at various places, 11.8 kg brown sugar, 46 kg heroin, 200 kg charas, bananas seized by the police.

Efforts are being made to identify youths who have turned to terrorism, to dissuade them from terrorism. The crackdown on terrorists has also been made tougher. Approximately more than two dozen youths have turned away from terrorism.- Vijaykumar, Additional Director General of Police

What would the Ministry of Home Affairs say?

The Ministry of Home Affairs has repeatedly declared that it is the policy of the government to adopt a tough line against terrorism. The government claims that there has been a significant improvement in the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Underlining the security of Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said in Parliament, ‘Jammu and Kashmir’s intelligence system is equipped to harm the attempts of terrorists. The situation in Kashmir is improving after the removal of Article 370.
