Dr. M. Srinivas, Dean of ESIC Hospital and Medical College, Hyderabad has been appointed as the new Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. The Department of Personnel and Training has issued an order on this regard.
Dr. Srinivas will succeed Randeep Guleria who has been in the post since March 2017. Srinivas was Professor in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Delhi AIIMS earlier than becoming a member of ESIC Hospital and Medical College in Hyderabad in 2016.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has authorized the appointment of Dr. Srinivas to the post of Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, the order mentioned.
According to the order, this appointment is efficient for 5 years from the date of assuming workplace or until the age of 65 years or until additional orders, whichever is earlier. This order was initially given on 9 September, however later the authorities issued a new order and altered the date to 23 September.
