The department is claiming all the facilities at the health centers to control dengue infection, but the system here is proving to be inadequate. From recruitment to investigation and treatment, patients have to worry. In Amar Ujala’s investigation, the facility of platelet test was not found in the health centers in the district on Friday, while the recruitment facility was also not available at some centers.
A 9-bed dengue ward has been set up at CHC Cholapur, which is currently full. The investigation is stalled here due to breakdown of platelets testing machine. Medical Superintendent Dr. RB Yadav says that the machine is in the process of being made. Fagging is not being done even in the village under Community Health Center Cholapur. This is the reason why the outbreak of mosquitoes has increased.

Trouble increased due to lack of fever help desk

Fever help desk has not even been set up in Cholapur Community Health Center so that people can be made aware. A six-bed dengue ward has been made in CHC Narpatpur, but due to non-completion of dengue ward in PHC Chiraigaon, patients are forced to go to other centers including CHC Narpatpur. Center in-charge Rajnath Singh said that more than 15 dengue patients have been admitted in the last one week.
Sample of dengue patients should be sent to Deendayal and BHU

In view of the increasing outbreak of dengue in the district, the Health Department has laid special emphasis on investigation. For this, advice has been given to send samples from private hospitals to Deendayal Hospital and the lab located at BHU. The CMO has also directed all private hospitals to send samples of NS-1 positive patients to these two hospitals (BHU, Deendayal Hospital Laboratory) for ELISA confirmation. All data including phone numbers of fellow positive patients have also been asked to be given to the CMO office.
