Dengue Alert: Stay in Gorakhpur for four more weeks, then dengue mosquitoes will end on their own

Residents of Gorakhpur district will have to keep themselves safe from dengue mosquitoes for one month. As the temperature falls, their number will gradually decrease and they will get rid of them.

According to experts, in the current temperature, adult mosquitoes will not be formed from larvae, but the terror of mosquitoes that have already flourished will remain for four more weeks. Within the last 15 days, new dengue mosquitoes have not been able to flourish in those places where larvae have been found. In such a situation, people need to avoid more for four weeks.

According to the information, there may be cases of dengue infection by the middle of December. In this season, whatever dengue larvae have grown and become mosquitoes, they will survive for at least four to five weeks. Dr. Amresh Kumar, microbiologist of BRD Medical College, said that there has been a decline in dengue cases to some extent, but there is a need to take full precautions against dengue. At present, the day temperature is running between 26 to 27 and the night temperature is between 11 and 12 degrees. In this season, new dengue mosquitoes are not born from the larvae, but already born mosquitoes are affected. Because, as their life is on the verge of ending, they become more aggressive.

This is the reason why mosquitoes bite even during the day in this season. Dengue mosquitoes have a life span of four to six weeks. The dengue larvae that will be there in this season cannot become mosquitoes. Larvae will die due to drop in temperature. However, it may take at least four to five weeks for the larvae that have become mosquitoes to die. That’s why there is a need to be more careful in this season.

Effect will remain till mid December

District Malaria Officer Angad Singh said that compared to the first week of November, the number of dengue patients has decreased now. The reason for this is the change in the weather. Dengue cases will be almost over by mid-December. In such a situation, there is a need to survive for four more weeks. Told that so far source reduction has been done at 50,979 places. Whereas, notices have been given to 813 landlords.
