New Delhi: A fire broke out at a police post in Red Fort area of North Delhi. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. He said the fire broke out inside the subway where ‘body protectors’, lathis and ‘door-frame metal detectors’ were kept. Four fire engines were sent to douse the fire.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi said that a call about the fire was received at Kotwali police station around 1 pm. Fire tenders and a team of Delhi Disaster Management Authority reached the spot within a short time to douse the fire, he said.
“…within an hour and a half, the fire brigade and rescue teams brought the fire under control,” Kalsi said. He said that investigation is on to find out the cause of the fire. (agency)
