New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor of Delhi V.K. Saxena will administer the oath of office to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi on Thursday. Sources gave this information. After the resignation of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Minister Satyendar Jain, two positions in the cabinet had fallen vacant.
Resignation of Sisodia and Jain
It is noteworthy that earlier today on Tuesday (March 7), President Draupadi Murmu accepted the resignations of former ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain. Apart from this, Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj were also appointed ministers in the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government. The notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs states that, on the advice of the Chief Minister of Delhi, the President has accepted the resignation of Manish Sisodia. A similar notification was also issued regarding Satyendar Jain.

Atishi and Bhardwaj’s names recommended
It may be noted that, on the recommendation of CM Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena had recommended the names of Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj for appointments as ministers in the Delhi cabinet to President Draupadi Murmu. Sources said Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj will take oath on March 9. At the same time, starting from March 17, the budget session of the Delhi Assembly will be included as a minister.
