The 40th convocation of Varanasi-based Sampurnanand Sanskrit University will now be held on December 31. The date of the convocation ceremony has been changed on the orders of the Raj Bhavan. The convocation ceremony of this university will also be of three days. The celebrations will begin on December 29. Earlier, the convocation ceremony was to be held on 26 December.
On Monday Vice Chancellor Prof. Under the chairmanship of Hariram Tripathi, a meeting was held at the Yoga Sadhana Center for preparations for the convocation. Vice Chancellor Prof. Tripathi said that instead of 26 December, the convocation will be held on 31 December from 2 pm. Chancellor Anandiben Patel will preside over the program to be held in the main building. According to the Vice-Chancellor, there will be a three-day program on the occasion of the ceremony.
A theatrical performance will be organized on 29th December, Kavi Sammelan on 30th December and Shastrarth on 31st December. During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor reviewed the convenors and co-convenors of 18 committees and directed to remove the shortcomings.
The convocation ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth will also be held on December 31. Earlier, the convocation of Kashi Vidyapeeth was fixed on December 27, but after the order of Raj Bhavan, the date of convocation has been changed. The Diksha Utsav will begin on December 27 and the main function will be held on December 31. This time the convocation will be held in the Gandhi Study Auditorium. This time, instead of lighting the lamp, there will be a program to fill water instead. This time it is special that this ceremony will run for five days instead of one day.
The festival on the theme of Diksha Utsav will start from December 27. Cultural, Yoga, Amrit Mahotsav, hundred years of Kashi Vidyapeeth, educational enclave, lectures as well as teachers will also be honored from December 27 to 30. This time 300 invitation letters will be sent. Along with this, live streaming of the entire program will be done through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. 21 committees will function in the convocation.
