In fact, the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 (Republic Day of India), but two months before that, on 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly finally adopted the Constitution after many discussions and amendments. That’s why every year November 26 is celebrated as ‘Constitution Day’ in the country.

Reason for celebrating Constitution Day
There is a special purpose of celebrating this day. In fact, it was decided to celebrate Constitution Day to spread awareness among citizens about the Constitution of the country and to propagate constitutional values. India adopted its constitution on this day, so the Ministry of Social Justice had decided on 19 November 2015 that the Government of India would start the tradition of celebrating 26 November as Constitution Day.
