Anubhav Singh, arrested in this case, had told that two to three lakh rupees were taken from each person as advance, after passing the rest of the examination, it was decided to take another 10 lakh. The police arrested Ashish Shukla of Maharajganj, the fourth accused of the gang, on December 10 and sent him to jail.

According to the information, the solver of the Sarvodaya online center in Lucknow, where Anand has been arrested, was also caught in the Group D exam. Then it survived the police investigation and then later when STF arrested Anubhav Singh, his name was revealed, but STF could not collect enough evidence against it, due to which it could not be nabbed.

On 23 November 2021, STF’s Gorakhpur unit busted the fake recruitment gang by arresting Anubhav Singh, a resident of Shivpur Sahabajganj under Gulriha police station area, Nityanand Gaur, a resident of Ahirauli under Ghugli police station area of ​​Maharajganj, and Senapati Sahni, a resident of Mahesara under Chiluatal police station, Gorakhpur.

According to the Inspector in charge of STF, the accused had revealed many secrets during interrogation. Nityanand Gaur had told during interrogation that on November 15 and 16, Rajneesh Dixit had given slip of roll numbers of two candidates. One of them was Sir Neem Parihar, whom I had to take to the candidate’s place and make him sit.

With the help of Anubhav Singh, Cluster Head, NSEIT, this candidate went out after getting his biometric, then the solvers were brought inside the examination hall. Senapati told during interrogation that Ashish Shukla, Deepak and Diwakar had stopped the CCTV footage of the examination center. With the help of this, Deepak and Diwakar used to make the solver sit and copy in the online examination.

Solvers have been caught many times in the district
The case of getting someone else to sit for the exam has been caught in Gorakhpur earlier also. Several times the police and STF teams have registered cases after catching solvers from the Swastik Online Center, but they are saved in the investigation.

  • 28 November 2020: 12 solvers were caught from Padleganj in Cantt area.
  • 6 August 2019: In the online examination of SSC at the E-Technical Center located in Jungle Dhusad, four solvers were caught giving the exam in place of others.
  • September 14, 2018: Almas of Basti, Dilip Kumar Verma of Gorakhpur and solver Roshan Kumar of Chhapra, Bihar and Rajiv Yadav of Muzaffarpur were arrested from Swastik Center in the online examination of Assistant Review Officer of UPPCL (UP Power Corporation).
