Talking to the media in Kerala, Ashok Gehlot said, ‘I tried to talk to Rahul Gandhi many times that he should become the president. The State Congress Committee has also passed the same resolution, but they have refused it and said that this time no person from the Gandhi family will contest for the post of Congress President.
