On the occasion of Chhath, the Transport Corporation will operate 2563 additional buses from Purvanchal to Western Uttar Pradesh. This information was given by Transport Corporation MD Sanjay Kumar. On Thursday, he directed all the regional managers to complete the preparations regarding the facilities of the passengers at the bus stands and asked them to chalk out the roadmap for the operation of the buses.

He said that 2563 additional buses would be available from Agra, Meerut, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Delhi to Gorakhpur, Ballia, Varanasi, Prayagraj in western Uttar Pradesh. More and more buses will be run from Lucknow and Kanpur, especially for Purvanchal.

The MD also informed that it will be the endeavor of the corporation that the people of Purvanchal who have come from western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi to their homes on Chhath festival, should be provided proper travel facility. He said that the corporation has kept the incentive scheme from 22 to 31 October. Passengers can get information on Transport Corporation’s helpline 18001802877 and control room number 9415049606.

100 buses from Lucknow to Purvanchal
Regional Manager Manoj Kumar Pundir said that direct bus service from Lucknow to Purvanchal districts has been started from Thursday. Nonstop bus services from Charbagh, Alambagh, Kaiserbagh bus station and Awadh intersection will be available every hour from 6 am to 11 pm. Along with this, online booking of seats in AC buses has also started. For the areas from Lucknow to Purvanchal, 80 ordinary buses and 20 AC buses have been installed which will run till 31 October.
