chandrapur, The Chandrapur mega thermal power station is adjacent to the world famous Tadoba-Andhari tiger project for leased tigers; tigers are often seen in the CTPS premises here. In view of the arrival of tigers, leopards and bears here, extensive arrangements have been made by the CTPS management. CCTV cameras have also been installed here. One such CCTV camera captured an incident at 3.30 pm on Tuesday in which a tiger attacked a herd of buffaloes, but the herd of buffaloes forced the tiger to chase itself towards the forest. This video captured in CCTV is becoming quite viral on social media.
It is seen in the video that while attacking a herd of buffaloes passing through the middle of the way, the tiger tried to run away by pressing a small cub in its jaws, but before its attempt could be successful, the other buffalo fell on the tiger. Seeing the fierce form of the herd of buffaloes, the tiger considered it good to drive them towards the forest.
Last year, tiger and leopard created terror here in CTPS and 4 people lost their lives in their attack here. The video of the tigress and her five cubs roaming around had also gone viral. The video of tiger attack on a CTPS personnel and his colleagues saving his life went viral. In CTPS, people have seen many tigers, leopards and bears roaming till the colony premises. In view of the frequent attacks, the CTPS management removed the bushes and fenced it, yet the entry of tigers, leopards and bears through hidden routes continues unabated.
The latest incident of tiger attack on buffalo herd has created more panic for the residents of the colony here. Because in the scorching heat, when the water sources dry up and prey is not available, the violent creatures travel towards the urban areas. And human-wildlife conflict increases significantly. Therefore, in view of the arrival of the tiger, there is a demand for immediate measures to be taken here.
