Palghar (Maharashtra): A fishing boat capsized after hitting a rock in the Arabian Sea near Palghar coast in Maharashtra. However, all 15 people on board the boat were rescued by fishermen from other boats.
District officials gave this information. District Disaster Control Room chief Vivekananda Kadam said that the incident took place near Boisar Murbe village around 6 pm on Monday.

The fishing boat ‘Jai Sagarika’ hit a rock 55 nautical miles off the Palghar coast and started sinking, they said. According to the official, a message was sent through the ‘wireless system’ following which fishermen from other boats rescued all 15 people on board the capsized boat and brought them to shore.
He told that everyone escaped safely in the accident. “The boat belonged to Praveen Tare, who informed the district authorities about the mishap,” the official said. (agency)
