Pune : Biometric attendance of Pune Municipal Corporation employees was stopped during the Corona period. Now it has been restarted. But, most employees are signing in to office notebooks instead of biometrics. In view of this, now put biometric attendance, otherwise the salary will not be given, this order has been given by Additional Commissioner Ravindra Binwade. This will now curb the negligence of the employees.

For the employees of Pune Municipal Corporation, the administration has linked biometric attendance with Aadhaar. This gives accurate information about when the employee came to work and when he left. Because of this, employees who skirmished at work were disciplined. But, in view of the danger of infection during the Corona period, the administration had banned biometric attendance. Instead of biometric, attendance was being registered by signing in the notebook of the concerned department in the traditional way.

However, after the end of the Corona period, the Additional Commissioner once again issued orders for biometric attendance. But, it was observed that most of the employees prefer signing instead of biometrics. Therefore, mark attendance with biometrics, otherwise the salary will be withheld from November 15, as ordered by Additional Commissioner Binawade. The concerned head of account should check whether all the officers and employees of his department are registered in the biometric attendance system. It has been clarified in the order that the account heads should submit this information to the Additional Commissioner of the General Administration Department.

Machines of some departments closed

The Electricity Department has installed a total of 13 machines in the Municipal Corporation building and one machine each in other offices and regional offices. However, the machines at some other places including the city secretary’s office are closed. That’s why the employees there are signing. Meanwhile, fingerprints of several employees are not available, their eye scans will be done on Monday, said the electricity department.
