The problem of kidney failure has increased due to increase in high BP, sugar among the youth. The problem is continuously increasing due to deteriorating food habits. Youths in the age group of 17 to 35 years are suffering from the problem of kidney failure. Dialysis of 24 patients is being done daily in the district hospital, out of which 10 patients are youths in the age group of 17 to 35 years.

The youth are falling prey to serious diseases due to deteriorating food habits. Due to kidney failure, the production of erythropoietin hormone decreases. Due to which hemoglobin is not made. Because of which the chances of kidney failure increase. Aldosterone hormone is controlled by our kidney, if kidney starts to deteriorate then aldosterone hormone becomes uncontrolled. Due to which the blood pressure of the person starts increasing. Due to which kidney is failing.

Dialysis of 24 patients is being done daily in the dialysis unit of the district hospital, out of which about 10 patients up to 35 years of age are coming daily. There are six machines in the dialysis unit. It consists of two positive and four negative machines. Impure substances are taken out from inside the patient by dialysis and the blood is cleaned by the machine and sent back to the body.

Imran (35) son Mukhtiyar, a resident of Daulatpur Billouch village of Noorpur told that his kidney failed four years back. He used to vomit in the morning. At first he ignored. But later it was found that his kidney had failed. He is on dialysis for four years. Dialysis has to be done three days a week.

Mohanveer (30) son Surajbhan, a resident of Ramraj town of Meerut, told that in the year 2020, his kidney failed. He had no problem before. Later, when the problem increased, got the test done, then there was a problem in the kidney. After which kidney failed. He is undergoing dialysis for two years.

The problem of kidney failure is increasing in the youth. Kidney failure of youth is also due to high BP, sugar and other diseases. Take special care of food. Because the kidney is getting damaged due to not getting complete nutrition. – Dr. Neha Jain, Nephrologist
