Angry girl students protesting over the poor food being served in the mess of BHU’s New PhD Girls Hostel continued throughout the night. The girl students sitting on dharna at Vice-Chancellor’s residence are adamant on their demand to meet Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Jain.
She says that she will not end the strike until the Vice Chancellor comes to talk to her. Their strike continues on Tuesday as well.
The girl students living in New PhD Girls Hostel are worried about getting bad food in the hostel mess, they say that even after saying many times the quality of food is not good.
Because of this, many girl students have become ill. Told that only after paying 20 thousand hostel fees where bad food is available in the mess, there is neither Wi-Fi facility nor cleanliness in the hostel. Because of this they are facing trouble.
The girl students kept sitting by lighting a bonfire in the night. During this, Chief Proctor Professor Vinay Pandey, Student Dean and other officials tried to persuade them but the girl students are adamant on meeting the Vice Chancellor.
