The faces of 91 meritorious students lit up after getting gold medals at Mahamana Ki Bagiya Kashi Hindu University (BHU) on Saturday. The occasion was the 102nd convocation held on Saturday. Nikesh Arora, IIT BHU alumnus of 1989 batch and Chief Executive Officer of Palo Alto Networks, was the chief guest at the ceremony, and 113 gold medals were awarded to 91 meritorious students and degrees to over 37,000 students. The special thing about the convocation held two years later was that out of 91 meritorious gold medalists, 63 were daughters.
Medals and prizes were distributed to the meritorious students of the session 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 at a function organized at Swatantrata Bhawan of the University. A festive atmosphere was witnessed in all the faculties and institutes of the campus. Gold, silver medals and titles were given by organizing a ceremony here.
Chief guest Nikesh Arora said that in this era of technology there are many opportunities before the youth. In such a situation, big plans have to be made. Youth are the drivers of change in the future. Today many countries of the world are looking towards India with special eyes on the basis of technical efficiency. No matter what dream you see in life, keep trying to learn continuously to make it come true.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain, along with giving information about the development journey of the university, inspired the students to keep moving forward on the path of success in life. Rector of Swagat University Prof. VK Shukla, the vote of thanks was done by Registrar Prof. AK Singh. year 2022
