Thrissur. Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Saturday resumed the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Perambra close to Thrissur after a day’s relaxation. Hundreds of Congress social gathering staff joined him within the yatra. The journey resumed round 6.30 am. Its morning part will finish at Amballur Junction after overlaying a distance of 12 kms.
Senior Congress chief Jairam Ramesh tweeted, “After a day’s rest, the 17th day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra began from Perambra Junction in Thrissur district at around 6.35 am on Saturday. Those involved in the yatra will cover a distance of 12 kms on Saturday morning.” On Friday, a medical camp was organized at Chalakudy for the individuals who took half within the yatra and the staff of Seva Dal on the day of relaxation. This was the second relaxation day because the yatra started on September 7.

The Congress’s 3,570-km-long and 150-day-long Bharat Jodi Yatra started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7 and can conclude in Jammu and Kashmir.
